Walt Disney’s Up and Down

Walter Elias Disney (1901-1966) who was born in Chicago, Illinois has been renowned as a distinguished film producer since the early era of movie making industry and has been considered as the pioneer of animated picture industry. During his career, he has acquired 26 Oscar winnings and 64 Academy Award nominations. His company, The Walt Disney Company has also been famous for producing numerous qualified movies, and is regarded as the most major maker of many noted cartoon characters such as Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck.

There are several notable motion pictures that have been produced by the Walt Disney Company. Most of them are adventurous films. People around the world who have ever viewed those movies are still able to remember such movies like The Castaway Cowboy which is starred by Academy Award nominator James Garner, Vera Miles, and Robert Culp. The Littlest Horse Thieves, another renowned movie, also wins a great recognition for its dramatic and humorous plot. Almost all Disney’s motion pictures are considered to be the best movies ever made.

In spite of Company’s marvel in producing good motion pictures, it often produces movies that are criticized by both audience and movie critics. Superdad, which tells social problems during Vietnam era, is considered a critical and commercial failure.
